AIDS Walk NY

I had so much fun at the AIDS Walk. It was a six mile walk through Central Park, down to riverside drive, and back to central park. What a workout! I had so much fun walking with Mick, WolĂ©, Davida and our other team mates. Roger Newcomb and I ran the last couple of feet to the finish line (because 4-Her’s are cool like that). Team ATWT was a part of a coalition of CBS-related teams. Team ATWT, Team CBS Corp. and Team David Letterman Show were Gold Teams because we were some of the top 20 fundraisers last year (basically we got a cool meeting spot away from all the chaos and we got to start and end fairly early). They had some great volunteers. They cheered us on, gave us water and snacks and made sure we didn’t get hit by cars.

This year there were more than 45,000 participants and we raised $5,603,409! Even in the rain and even in the recession people still care. I want to thank everybody who walked, donated, volunteered, or supported the cause. I encourage you to walk in the San Fransisco, Wisconsin, or Los Angeles AIDS Walks or come join us next year for the 2010 AIDS Walk New York. Thank you.

xoxo,

Ashley Marie Greiner
